GeoCities Sign-up Tutorial - 2
This will bring you to the detail page for joining GeoCities and aquiring your new web site.
Choose your Yahoo ID carefully as this will be part of the web site address (URL). You may find it takes you more than one try to get an ID that is not already in use.
Write down NOW your Yahoo ID and password - two different places and store one safely away, you do not want to forget these. Do not use a simple word as your password, a mix of upper and lower case letters and a number or two will be more secure.
Fill out all the required details and I recommend you uncheck the box beside the "Send me special offers ... "
Follow through the instructions from here and when you come out the other end you will have your web site.
There will be nothing on it yet, of course, that is up to you - let your imagination run wild.
Note that at this time, you will have a Yahoo ID and a GeoCities web site, you do not automatically have a Yahoo email address. This requires a separate process on your part from the main Yahoo page.
